It should only be x:\map

2. And do you have a "cannot authenticate map" prompt message?

Just 'map directory' only.
Have tried to change as you ask, but it can't be made because computer does not give use special character :
'a file name cannot contain any of the following characters: / \ : * ? " < > l'
So how to do that ?
Not recieve anything from garmin.

there is no : or \ or " or ? or the word directory

Just put 'map' folder in my micro sd card & put MFM.img in there.
& it working...10Q very very much bro on your guide...

Just used a few day & my garmin not working at all.
Just functioning a few minutes when connecting to GDR-10 & after that all automatically shut down by itself...
Restart again & connect with charger still not working...
Send back via PosLaju to AECO Taman Maluri & AECO replace with new set...

Road on MFM so good but many POI's not visible if compare MFM on 255W.
Any idea...

Looks like you got a lemon set. Glad you can claim warranty. This is what support is about.

Newer generation Nuvis have restriction of displayed POI in navigation mode. This is firmware restriction.
Just touch screen and you can see POI.

My Garmin gave me problem agains.
After recieved replacement set from AECO Taman Maluri...nothing problem used a few days.
It happened on saturday noon when connected via GDR-10 (garmin camera). Just used around 10 minuted & after that it auto off @ shutdown.
Restart again still function but car charger nat functioning at all.
Try connect with 255W & working...no problem & car charger function at all.
So the problem is my garmin not recieved power from car charger.
Call AECO Taman MAluri today morning & she want my garmin send to them to check.
I send email to them to replace new set agains because replacement set they gave to me not have AECO & SIRIM sticker & serial no. only 3 digits no. compare what i buyed 4 digits no. I think replacement set was old stock @ what ever @ ....
So sad la...

Please ensure that the map directory is /map
NOT /garmin/map
NOT /maps
Generate a /map directory in the root directory of nand flash in GPSr
OR
Generate a /map directory in the root directory of micro SD card

Both will work same.

And don't forget to enable the maps from system setup.

Best try the flash card first before nand flash.
If possible use class 10 micro sd for Nuvi 2565 and the family.

Done...just need to create MAP folder on my micro sd card...& then put MFM map with name MFM in the MAP folder.
OK...10Q bro...
Howewer I'm still phobia to use camera provided because it's been 2 times set my Garmin does not work due to such use.
I have made a complaint to the AECO and they have been replaced with a new set of Garmin.
