Thanks for your explanation. So the recording is done in blocks of 256MB and playtime is dependent on resolution use. Reason for asking is when I look at my recording files, they are in about 1 min intervals.

Mmm ... Don't forget to use Garmin Driving Recorder PC Tool program on the supplied micro SD. It makes it easier to manage/view your recorded files. It shows the exact date time recorded and location on google map.

Mmm ... It records a video at about 20 frames/sec or so. Or did I get your question wrong?

On my device, recording in VGA (640x480) will give AVI files 256MB in size, duration of 2min 45sec at 29frames/sec. And recording in HD (1280x720) will give AVI files 256MB in size, duration of 1min 45sec at 19frames/sec.

Anyway, I've managed to corrupt my Sandisk 32GB microSD. Can't format it on my notebook or on the Nuvi's GDR. Ah well, back to the smaller Adata 8GB microSD.

My Adata 32GB was corrupted too using it with GDR10. Luckily my card was still under warranty. I suspect it's due to the protect function of the GDR10.

Another thing I noticed just recently after RMA my mSD card and updating to firmware v6.3. Once I stopped recording, unable to resume recording without restarting my gps unit, freaking annoying!!! Hopefully v6.7 solves this [-o< .
