I know ... but .. latest firmware already got EcoRoute, Junction View....

wat more are you expecting in newer version .. load faster ? improve FM/Radio frequency ?

IMHO, It is software related issues.. We cannot do anything except begging Garmin to add the features.

what type of custom POI is not showng ?

But, I realized 7x5 did display several custom icons from POIs in gpi file's. Example the PDRM, traffice light camera, Sport TOTO, .. icons.

ahnah : Example of the custom icons are, Maybank, CIMB, Petronas, traffic light icons.

have leh .. even the Police AMbush ... Red Light Camera ... Speed Check .. all got display ..

Correct you can see the custom icons; police ambush, redligh camera.. but these icons are in seperate GPI files in Garmin/POI directory.

The custom icons which maxyeo, miju and I mentioned are the icons which already built into gmapsupp.img (map file), such as Petronas, Shell, Esso logos, not just a generic pump station logo.

Since 7x5 able to display custom icons from GPI files, I suggesting to create a seperate GPI files which contains the location and it's icons. Mmm.. is it possible? mmmm.

Examples:
shell.gpi = all shell pump station
petronas.gpi = ..
maybank.gpi = all maybank
traffic_light.gpi = all traffic light.

Mmmm.. might works
