Re: Walkie Talkie Kakie (FRS & GMRS)

Actually, for 2 cars, just get the normal FRS/GMRS model will do. The FRS/GMRS units are legal in the USA, whereas the PX777 is not (you need licence). Hi Francis, Since you have experience in group convoys in USA, can you provide more tips and pointers on using handheld transceivers in USA please? I'm planning a trip to CA, USA with some driving involved (2 cars) from LA to Vegas and San Diego (and back to LA). I havent bought any transceivers yet...

Re: Garmin Nuvi 660

Occasionally at startup / boot the 660 will prompt that the (original Garmin) map is outdated and needs to be updated. Since we are using MFM maps how do we disable this message? Since it is outdated, backup and then delete the Garmin map and just use MFM map. Great! Thanks for the tip. :) Btw, the...

Re: How accurate is your speedometer?

Its not a "problem". Car manufacturers tend to calibrate the speedo about 10% higher so that you dont get caught speeding. This is so that they dont get sued by consumers to claim the car's speedo is inaccurate if they get caught doing 111km/h in a 110km/h zone. So if you are travelling at...
