Re: Free Malaysia & Singapore GPS Map: MFM-Garmin 140526
The Garmin GPS routing engine will calculate and recommend going through the first bridge (ie. the faster route) when travelling between the mainland and much of the island. The only time I found the GPS software recommending going through the 2nd bridge is if your startpoint or endpoint is Bayan L...

Re: Free Malaysia & Singapore GPS Map: MFM-Garmin 140526
Hey guys...from Penang here. The map doesn't seem to recognise the new Penang Bridge and did not route me correctly in that region.

Re: Customs POIs - AES Cameras
Yay finally! Down with the AES! Get rid of the one at Slim River. It's a real money making machine that one! It's a 3 lane straight road, why the hell do they need an AES there? It's not an accident area and it's obvious cars can go faster on a straight road. This is just to catch people unawares! U...

Re: Custom POI-AES (Automated Enforcement System) hotspots
Hey guys...you missed out an AES at North Taiping KM204 North-bound. I don't have the exact GPS coordinates but it's definitely KM204. Others can help clarify. By the way these AES cams are situated north-bound. Do they film the opposite lane as in the south-bound as well or only for the lanes going...

Re: Custom POI-AES (Automated Enforcement System) hotspots
Hi all, I'll try contribute where and when I can. Hopefully we can have an accurate and comprehensive list of the cams so we can help each other avoid them. I'm from Penang and so far I only notice the mobile AES and not fixed AES cams. Mobile ones are at the usual speed trap areas so nothing new to...

Re: Custom POI Download - Police Speed Traps (V5.2)(120406)
I had a look at the link. If it's so high up then it's likely to monitor the highway traffic for accidents or emergencies and stuff. I could be wrong but logically that's what it is. It'd be great if anyone here works with the police force or they know stuff about cameras etc.

Re: Custom POI Download - Police Speed Traps (V5.2)(120406)
Camera at signboard normally to monitor traffic only. I've seen cops using the new speed guns...it looks fat and rounded and they just hold it up without any mount/tripod ala the old ones. Anyway thanks for your effort but it'll be great if others can help confirm so that we don't have way too many ...
