Re: Garmin 52LM multiple map problem

I solved the problem but it is ugly. And no, it is not the result of map id clashes. Or duplicate maps as the EU map is almost twice the size of the NA map. I was finally able to make both maps show up by a very roundabout route & numerous experiments with the parsing order of the maps. I had to...

Garmin 52LM multiple map problem

Having a very funny problem with the Garmin 52LM. Wanted to load North America & Europe map on it. As usual, put them into the external micro-sd card - sd:\Map\ directory Could only see one of the 2 maps! If I have only one map present, the GPS will show that map. However, if I add the other, it ...

Gunung Panti & Gunung Panti Barat are transposed

I hiked to Gunung Panti Barat in June. On the map, it was listed at Gunung Panti. When I got to the top, the summit sign shows it as Gunung Panti Barat. I tried to confirm the other sign but unfortunately we ran out of time & abandoned the attempt. Nevertheless, if you look at their relative pos...

Re: Garmin Travel Guide

I am not in a position to comment on what was posted in Garmin website and what is the actual situation. I am posting to share what I experience when I travel to China. I, like you found out the hard way that our Global, non-localized China Nuvis does not provide accurate navigational routing. Thus...

Re: Garmin Travel Guide

*ENVY* That you're able to find out on the ground itself! =) Please be aware that the Expo Guide only works with a true China GPS. On mine, it claims I am in the Spanish pavilion when I am standing on the rooftop garden of the Singapore pavilion! Be warned! Hmmm.... After spending 5 full days at th...

With the new 100920 map version, I have been getting the correct routing and positions on my 370 since last Thursday & Friday.

Hurrah!

Re: What newbie need to know? FAQ

Well, I did my marathon session last night! Using Extra POI Editor, open the GPS favorites, edit the list from 434 to 371, tidying up all the corrections & symbols. Save it as \Garmin\temp.gpx. Hard reset my 370 and voila, I am good to go with 371 favorites. Then it is on to re-select all my pre...
