I managed to flash my 255W to malsing firmware 2.7. Any method to upgrade it to 2.8?
I have tried to download the 2.8 version from Garmin sg and install it, but I couldn't get my firmware up to 2.8.

255W firmware
My unit is US set and couldn't support JCV and LA. I found a lot of forum teaching us to convert the firmware. I would like to know, what is the risk on converting firmware? Can anyone share?

I have 255W as well. I found that the GPS satellite receiption is very slow if you start your GPS device while driving your car. But, if you stop your car, your GPS can get satellite in less than 2min. When driving whilst start up the GPS, it is very difficult for it to get the satellite because you...
